Regular mk7s have thermostat issues and that's pretty much it. Mk7.5 had manual transmission issues from the factory. If you buy one used you probably won't experience it. Supposedly the dsg in the 7.5 is more reliable. VW changed the recommendation for dsg fluid changes up to 60k miles from 40k. 3.
