FreeMember. I’m 5’10 1/2 with a 33ā€ inside leg and have a 27.5 YT Capra in medium, a 27.5 Kingdom Vendetta in medium, 29er Niner air 9 in medium, and on the way, a 29er trek slash, with a
Rollingresistance: 29'er wins -> bridges gaps over rocks better. Steering: 27.5 wins -> smaller contact patch is less draggy for steering as the tire moves across the ground. Playfulness: 27.5 wins -> easier to manual, pop off features, etc. - although one can just as easily get used to a 29'er in the same scenarios.

Assumingsame suspension setup on both, the 27.5+ bike will have more climbing traction, especially in techy situations. cmndr_spanky • 5 yr. ago. Plus size tires do make up some of the difference in pedal clearance that you'd normally find on a 29er I think. So 27.5+ is a nice middle ground between 29 and 27.5-regular.

275 will accelerate faster and is more responsive. The 29er will maintain speed better and track straight line better but harder to accelerate. The scout 275 can take up to a 2.8 wide tire which kinda closes the gap in wheel size and will take a lot of the edge of riding a hard tail. So that choice is yours. Ifyou mean 'Dirt Jumps' in the proper sense (steep BMX style jumps or slopestyle course) then you want a DJ because a 27.5" trail bike will be nearly as bad as a 29" trail bike at that type of jump. If you mean jumps made out of dirt on a regular MTB trail (like a flow trail) then it doesn't really matter unless maybe you're really short.
