Misfire problem solved. I replaced the standard copper spark plugs with Bosch Platinum +2, while doing so I also cleaned the MAF and throttle body. Car ran great and my problem of jerky hesitation while in reverse was and is still cured. After about 1,100 miles I would get code P0301 (misfire cylinder 1) almost every time I would accelerate
