So in this case if i was using max 1000 I'd get 2/3 x 1000 ( 666 ) and the enemy would get 1/3 x 1000 (333) If the max was set at 600 I'd get 400 and the enemy would get 200 Either way it would reflect the reality that I outnumbered the enemy if I took 50% casualties to win the battle I'd lose 400 ie the percentage of my original army

having a lot of horses can reduce your movement speed. check it by clicking the arrow at the bottom right, there is a horse symbol you can hover over to see what makes up your speed. Herd is what you are looking for. I try to keep it at -0.1 max. Once I had so many horses it was on -0.25. Not good.
Everything has limits. In Bannerlord those limits are highly dependent on your hardware. There was a youtube video (that I can't seem to find) where a guy did some testing with a mod of the beta. He was able to get 1024 infantry troops on each side in a battle. This appears to be the maximum size for any battle.
Maximum heal rate is 2.5x the linear/average heal rate. (It's called "EVE Online" because I based the model on the shield/capacitor recharge system of that game.) Sine (credit: WyrdOh): heal rate is at its highest at 50% of maximum health, with the regen rate looking like a sine curve. Max heal rate is 2.5x the linear/average heal rate.
